Week 14 StoryLab - EmpoWord

EmpoWord

First off, hitting me with the Moffat quote (Oooof, MY HEART!)
Storytelling is a part of everyday life
Scope is the boundary of the plot
             Based on rhetorical situation
Stories with meaning are the most impactful
Spacing of events in a story are also very important for impact
Exposition -> Rising Action -> Climax -> Falling Action -> Resolution
The way the story is told can shape the readers' experience
Section 1 has some activities to hone writing skills
The voice that a writer uses can set the stage as well through dialogue
Don't be afraid to use photographs to aid in the storytelling process
The end of the chapter uses the story of a student as a model "Under the Knife"

I found most of this to be taught in my creative writing course and so I knew quite a bit of this information beforehand.
