21. The House of Fire by C. A. Kincaid
Queen Kunti and Pandavas are made aware that the lac palace is made with wood and doused in oil
The palace gets set on fire, but they escaped while a low-caste woman and her sons die in the fire
Everyone thought that it was the queen and her sons

22.  Bhima and Hidimba by Donald A Mackenzie
The Pandavas and Queen Kunti have laid down to rest with Bhima being guard
Two rakshasas, Hidimba and his sister, live in the forest
Hidimba wants the humans to eat
When his sister goes to retrieve them, she falls in love with Bhima so she offers to save all of them
Hidimba comes and claims that he will kill them all

23. Bhima and Hidimbi by Donald A Mackenzie
Bhima breaks Hidimba's back, which kills him
Bhima marries Hidimbi and has a son named Ghatotkacha
After she has her son, they go to live with Bhima's mother and brothers for a time

24. Bhima and Baka by C. A. Kincaid
After Queen Kunti and the Pandavas leave the forest, they go to a town called Ekachakra
Ekachakra is ruled by Baka, who requires a blood tax for the town's protection
Bhima comes at the wish of his mother
Bhima breaks Baka's spine in two, effectively killing him

25. Birth of Draupadi by Donald A Mackenzie
Hearing a story from "a saintly man," Queen Kunti and her sons headed toward Panchala
Drona took half of Drupada's kingdom
Drupada wishes for children who can defeat Drona
Dhrishtadyumna (a son) and Draupadi (a daughter) are born of flames
Many princes are going to Panchala to win the hand of Draupadi

26. Draupadi's Swayamwara  by Donald A Mackenzie
Many try to win Draupadi, but they don't succeed until Arjuna (a Pandava) succeeds
Many try and swarm him in anger, but Krishna calms them

27. Wife of the Five Pandavas  by Donald A Mackenzie
It is told by Vyasa that Draupadi is the re-incarnation of a woman who prayed to Shiva for a husband
She was promised five husbands in her next life
The Pandavas were told to be incarnations of Indra, so they are technically one
Draupadi is married to the five men

30. Arjuna and Ulupi by Donald A Mackenzie
Due to a pact the brothers made, only one prince will be with Draupadi at a time, Arjuna is exiled
Even though he was told he didn't have to go, he still went
One day he met Ulupi (a nymph)  by the Ganges
They fell in love and Arjuna was given the power of invisibility in water
They had a son named Iravat

31. Arjuna and the Apsaras by C. A. Kincaid
Arjuna comes across holy men and asked be blessed
After this he wishes to bathe in a river, but they warn him of man-eating alligators
Those alligators turn out to be water nymphs that can only be changed back into their original form by him

32. Arjuna and Chitra by Donald A Mackenzie and Rabindranath Tagore
Arjuna lives in Manipur for three years due to him marrying Chitra, who is the daughter of the rajah
They have a son, but he must stay in Manipur
Chitra was trained more as a son

33. Arjuna and Subhadra by Donald A Mackenzie
Arjuna bunks with Krishna for awhile and desires Krishna's sister, Subhadra
Arjuna abducts Subhadra, then weds her in front of Krishna and takes her back to Indraprastha after his exile is over
Draupadi and Subhadra make a peace
Draupadi has five sons and Subhadra has one

Duryodhana is humiliated due to not knowing that a crystal lake was not land like the crystal surface he mistaken before - He had fallen in with all his clothes

Things are lost to the Pandavas

40. The Second Match by Donald A Mackenzie
Draupadi saves the five brothers and Queen Kunti through boons granted by the blind maharajah
Then they lose dice again and are made to wander in exile
Queen Kunti stays with Vidura due to her enhanced age
